The New Jersey Lemon, the Act applies to new vehicles purchased and leased to suffer a nonconformity, defect or condition which substantially affects the use, value or safety, which can not be repaired after three attempts granted by an authorized manufacturer. This disagreement must first occur within the first 24 months or 24,000 miles, whichever comes first. The Lemon of New Jersey, the law also applies to vehicles that are in the shop for repair of twenty (20) or more calendar days during the first 24 months or 24,000 miles (whichever comes first), and those with a serious defect that could cause bodily harm or death is not fixed, after a repair attempt.
