Buy real estate instead of a car, someone said that when I consulted him before I bought my first car years ago. The real property value appreciates, compared with a car that is pure spending since the time of purchase, through all repairs and maintenance. Worse, it depreciates in value. I decided to buy a car, because I thought it is a necessary tool in my work and business, and then I hope I can earn enough money to buy a house and lot.

In connection with cars, someone who previously consulted me about the lemon law because the new car he bought was allegedly defective. Unfortunately there is no lemon law in the Philippines. Given that the registered buyer of that car is a corporation, the applicable provisions of the Consumer Act can not be invoked by a “consumer” refers to natural persons, i.e. you and me, and excludes persons legal and corporations.
