When it comes to buying anything in America there are consumer laws that protect us from the purchase of faulty goods - lemon law is a great example of this.
This applies even to vehicles and motorcycles. However, there are different rules in different states and can be a good idea to check these before making any major purchases.
In every state lemon classified as such if it has been repaired four times for the same offense, or up to eight times around the object in the warranty period.
This could also be considered to include "add-on" warranty period are sometimes sold with the vehicle.

Some decree states that three of the repairs in a calendar month with the vehicle out of service, believes it is a lemon while in others it is thirty days. This may seem a small change, but could make a difference to a claim.
Some states have a "default" clause if it is considered to be life threatening. This means that only can be repaired once and must appear again at fault, then it is labeled as a lemon and you can proceed to claim compensation.
Others say a timeline of one or two years for this error, or even a specific mileage.
Unfortunately, all states have interpreted the lemon laws in your own style. Check out your state laws before buying.
